Our Story

In 2015, before Ori’s Kitchen Catering & Deco ever existed, its founder, Nancy Radebe, carried a dream — one that would change her life in ways she could never have imagined.
That year, she tragically experienced a miscarriage for a daughter she would have named Orifuna — a name meaning “He has loved us” or “God has loved us.”

Though the pain of that loss was immense, Nancy’s love never faded. She carried it quietly, until five years later, when the world itself came to a standstill.
It was 2020 — the year of uncertainty, isolation, and new beginnings. Having lost her job and with no clear path forward, Nancy turned to what she had always done best — nurturing others through food.

She began cooking from home, preparing plates for those who were still working or simply needed a warm meal to comfort them. What started as survival soon became a calling.
People began to notice. Orders grew. Then came bookings — for picnics, dinners, birthdays, and intimate gatherings.

But Nancy’s vision extended beyond food. She wanted every meal to be an experience — to be surrounded by beauty, by love, by care. So she began adding décor — simple at first, then more elaborate. What began as a meal delivery evolved into unforgettable experiences of togetherness.

As her work spread through the community, Ori’s Kitchen Catering & Deco grew from serving small home picnics to curating milestone celebrations — 40th, 50th, and 60th birthdays, weddings, and even funerals. Each event carried a signature touch: a mother’s love expressed through service.

From hiring out equipment to owning her own, from cooking for friends to hosting hundreds, Nancy’s journey became a living tribute — a way of honoring the daughter she never got to hold.

Today, Ori’s Kitchen Catering & Deco, formally registered as Orifuna General Trading (Pty) Ltd, stands as a celebration of love, faith, and resilience.
Every dish prepared, every table set, every bouquet placed carries the spirit of Orifuna — “He has loved us.”

Over five years later, Ori’s Kitchen continues to serve the people of Secunda and beyond — offering catering, décor, equipment hire, and full event coordination for weddings, birthdays, corporate functions, and special occasions.

Each September, the company hosts its annual event, a vibrant celebration of community and creativity that draws crowds and reflects just how far this love-fueled journey has come.

More than a business, Ori’s Kitchen Catering & Deco is a testament to grace — a reminder that even in moments of loss, love can find new ways to live.
